A brief history of K.G. School:
In 1963 for the benefit of the children of the staff members staying in the campus of IIT Bombay, a School consisting of K.G. and primary classes commenced functioning from 10th June 1963. This School had one Nursery class, one Kindergarten class and one class each of I and II (4 classes).Under the scheme of Establishment of Central Schools, the Ministry of Education, Government of India, established a Higher secondary school by converting the existing School run by IITB, into a Central School(KVS)As a consequence the Kindergarten School began functioning as a separate unit under IIT Bombay from 1st September 1964.
Present scenario:
From a small number of 53 students at the start today the School has 300+ children on roll, 9 teaching staff, 12 supporting staff and 2 office staff working with the School In Charge. As the school now enters its 60th year since inception we look forward to growing in strength and standard with the kind support and guidance of the authorities of IIT Bombay.

Welcome to IITB Kindergarten School. I consider myself, very fortunate to be part of a successful Kinder Garten facility in the campus which is completing 60 glorious years in the academic year 2023-24.
We have 300+ Kindergarteners with 9 teaching faculty and 12 support staff to handle these early learners who come to this school with earnest enthusiasm to learn and grow each day.
The entire staff works diligently in doing just that and more. The Parents' contribution in supporting the School, to facilitate quality education for these little learners is admirable and noteworthy.
We strive to make the three most formidable years of a child's pre-schooling years, Nursery, LKG & UKG (between 3yrs-6yrs) a systematic child-centred programme. All the latest teaching aids used to maximize the output in this interactive process are selected accordingly with great care.
Our focus has always been to provide a child friendly, motivating, healthy, and positive atmosphere to our valued children. As a result our children always wear a smile on their faces and go about their daily activities with a comfortable and positive approach having complete faith in their teachers.
The School is very fortunate in having well qualified teaching faculty who work as a team to provide a conducive learning atmosphere for the children. We believe in taking up new challenges each year by adopting and adapting to innovative teaching methods to give effective and valuable learning experiences to our children.
The authorities of the School have always supported and guided us in this endeavour at all times.
